Each year, the best of the best in the hospitality and events industry come together for the yearly conference NACE Experience!  The final night is truly the most anticipated evening, the Awards Gala, recognizing incredibly talented individuals, creating wonderful things, not just in events, but in our industry!  To be on the list of Award Nominees for three categories alone is an honor in itself, so accepting two awards...well, it's truly humbling!  Words can't even begin to describe the humbling experience when receiving national recognition from my industry peers of NACE. 

Alongside some incredible partners of our industry, we took home Best Team Event of the Year 2016 {event budget up to $50K} for the gorgeous wedding of Alex + Jerry back in May 2016.  You may recall, back in December, Alex + Jerry's wedding was awarded Wedding of the Year!  Planning events is a challenge in itself...a challenge I embrace, but what makes this challenges enjoyable is the opportunity to select a team of professionals who understand you, your style, your work ethic, your needs and most importantly, your vision!  Johanna Terry and Gama Reyes of Johanna Terry Events truly understood our vision, going above and beyond to ensure each detail was perfect. Bradley Janacek of Bradley David Entertainment was instrumental in setting the tone with the perfect lighting and music!  Jill Vidal Raines and her team at EB Inc. Events provided us with the perfect selection of linens and chair treatments, adding the final touch to our design.  

Planning weddings is always a joy for us, especially when the couple entrusts us, with unwavering faith, to bring their vision into an unforgettable reality.  After many hours of meetings, coffee dates, drink dates and then some, the BIG day for Alex + Jerry arrived.  We can go on and on, but today's post is more about the emotions of being recognized for such an incredible wedding!  We should add, Alex + Jerry's wedding was also featured in the 30th Anniversary issue of Weddings in Houston Magazine!

Our second award of the night was for Table Design 2016 {Budget up to $200} for our "Waterfront Romance" Styled Shoot, which was also featured in the 30th Anniversary issue of Weddings in Houston Magazine.  When Pantone announced 2016 Color of the Year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, we got a bit excited about the beautiful yet challenging combination.  We're beyond lucky and honored to be surrounded by such incredible talent here in Houston!
