WOW! What a year! What started off as a strong 2020, quickly made a 180 degree shift into one of the toughest years, both personally as well as professionally! Many may see this year as a crappy one, and we can't say that we blame anyone.

2020 was a year for the books for sure, we are truly grateful for the challenges, the experiences, the lessons 2020 has taught us. 2020 has reminded us how strong and resilient we can be, even in the darkest and toughest of times.

As a business owner, learning to survive and thrive during a pandemic is an experience to remember. Two new businesses [Intimate Celebrations and Naty Designs] were born during this pandemic, and persoally could not be more proud of our team, who has provided support in so many ways.

Not sure what 2021 has in store for us, we can say we continue to welcome the challenges, are grateful for the lessons we continue to learn and excited to embark on new and more challenging experiences.

Like the phoenix, we will always rise above the ashes!

Thank you to all of our clients, who have supported us this year, entrusted us with their special moments, especially in such a challenging year. Thank you to our creative partners who have supported us and continue to support our endeavors. We are grateful to you for entrusting us always!

Last, but definitely not the least…the UH-MAZING team! You guys are the heartbeat and am absolutely nothing without you. Your love, support, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears, only makes us stronger!

What we took away from 2020:

  • No matter the challenges or the road blocks, you either ride the wave or let the wave ride you. Life is about obstacles, it’s what makes us stronger and more prepared for the next challenge.

  • In the darkest and loneliest of times, we learned more about ourselves, and we evolved, coming out stronger. Living through a pandemic brought us so much humility, being isolated allowed us to take a step back and focus more on our personal well-being. We need to remember to give ourselves more self-care, whether it’s reading a book, spending more quality time with our immediate loved ones, give more personal attention to our furbabies; whatever brings you the simplest of pleasures!

  • We forged stronger friendships, yet on the flipside, saw the true colors of others. With so many injustices and social issues at play, we need to remember to stay graceful, compassionate and empathetic towards those who are affected and hurting.

  • No longer do we take the simple things in life for granted. Hugs will have more meaning, get togethers will last a bit longer, being disconnected from interaction because of mobile devices glued to our hands will subside.

  • Love is NOT canceled. People will continue to get married. We experienced massive waves of wedding postponements, downsizing to elopements or intimate weddings, but LOVE IS NOT CANCELED! Weddings have become even more intentional, more purposeful and we love seeing the shift!

We are strong believers of making the best out of the most difficult situations.

When life hands you lemons, time to make some freaking amazing limoncello!

What are your 2020 takeways? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
